Resilient Body

The “Resilient Body” group aims to help participants to accept and value their bodies and themselves. In the group, participants will have the opportunity to examine their feelings about themselves and their bodies in a supportive environment. The impact of social media on body image and ways to manage negative body-related messages from social media will be discussed. Participants will also learn to recognize the beliefs and emotions that lead to negative body image and ways to manage them. Participants will also have the opportunity to express their feelings through art and together with the clinical dietitian will discuss nutrition and what a healthy relationship with food means. At the same time, they will have the opportunity through occupational therapy to interact, socialize and increase their functionality.

Team structure:

The team consists of: a) clinical psychologists, b) a clinical dietitian c) an art therapist, and d) occupational therapist.

The group size will be approximately 6 to 8 people, aged 12-17 years and young adults who present symptoms of eating disorders.

 Cost:

  •       25 euros for each session
