Dr. Myria Ioannou has graduated from the University of Cyprus with a PhD in Clinical Psychology. Her thesis focused on the self-regulation mechanisms as processes enhancing resilience in early adolescents exposed to different levels of traumatic stress. During her post-graduate studies she has also received a Master of Science in Children and Young People’s Mental Health and Psychological Practice from the University of Edinburgh. She has completed part of her clinical practice at the McLean Hospital of Harvard University in Boston. Her main research interests focus on the management of psychological trauma in children and adolescents and on the development of psychological resilience.
She is currently working as Licensed Clinical Psychologist at Resilient Lives and as the officer responsible for cases applying for therapy for family-related issues and substance abuse since July 2019 to present at Ithaki, KENTHEA.
