Thelma Lazarou is a licensed Clinical Psychologist at the Resilient Lives Centre. She holds a BSc in Psychology from the University of Cyprus and an MSc in Clinical Psychology from the University of Nicosia.

During her clinical training, she completed her practicum across several settings, including the Centre for Research and Counseling Services (KESY), Agia Skepi, where she worked with adults dealing with substance use and addiction, and the Athalassa Psychiatric Hospital, gaining experience with individuals experiencing a range of psychiatric conditions.

She has also worked at SPAVO (the Association for the Prevention and Handling of Violence in the Family) as a Call Center and Counselling Officer, providing emotional support, crisis intervention, and counseling to women and their children affected by domestic violence.

Miss Thelma provides psychotherapy to children, adolescents, and adults facing a variety of emotional, behavioral, and mental health difficulties, including anxiety, depression, psychological trauma, conduct and personality disorders, and addictions. She also works with individuals navigating significant life transitions, helping them develop coping strategies, adaptive skills, and psychological resilience.

Her therapeutic approach is integrative and tailored to the needs of each client, drawing on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), and Play Therapy.

Her main professional interests include anxiety and mood disorders, with a particular focus on strengthening emotional regulation skills and fostering resilience to enhance overall psychological well-being.
